ARLINGTON, Va.– The Washington Capitals will once again wear their third jersey, modeled after the 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic jersey, for seven select road games during the 2012-13 season, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced Monday.
The primary color for the uniform is white and closely resembles the team's original jersey, worn from 1974-75 through 1994-95. The original Capitals wordmark is featured on the front of the jersey with six stars above it and five stars beneath the numbers on each sleeve.
The Capitals will wear red pants and white helmets with their third jerseys.
The jerseys are available online at shop.NHL.com and at the Verizon Center Team Store as well as Kettler Capitals Iceplex.
