SALISBURY, Md.- One Salisbury hair salon is helping local Ravens fans this weekend increase their purple pride before the big game.

Normally, purple hair is reserved for game day in Baltimore for fans who are actually in attendance at the game.  But with the Ravens down in New Orleans, some have the opportunity to sport a new hair-do right in their living room for the Super Bowl.

"We're going to be doing free purple hair sprays in client's hair.  Free of charge.  They don't have to get any other service," said Shena Dykes, the assistant manager at the Hair Cuttery in Salisbury.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday before kick-0ff, anyone can walk into the Hair Cuttery at the Centre at Salisbury and leave with a new hair color for free.  But of course, that color has to be purple.  And for those who may be hesitant, have no fear; it's just a temporary look.

"You wash it and it comes right out.  So nothing to worry about.  You can just get the spirit of your team and then cheer for them and wash it right out the next day," said stylist Caryvette West.

Stylists expect to be pretty busy over the weekend as Ravens fans do everything they can to support their team against the 49ers.

They'll probably be in early on Sunday, so they can have plenty of time to go to their Super Bowl game and celebrate our team winning," said stylist Joelle Buckholtz.

Jerseys, sweatshirts and hats may be enough for some, but others will be going the extra purple mile for the Super Bowl.
