








NEWARK, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police have arrested a woman after 50 pounds of marijuana were found in a car during a traffic stop.
Officers had been alerted to a delivery to a United Parcel Services store in Newark and went to the store Monday morning. Police say a woman signed for five packages, put them in her car and drove off.
Authorities say officers stopped the car and a police dog alerted to the vehicle.
Officers say they found 50 pounds of marijuana in five cardboard tubes in the vehicle.
Thirty-year-old Dana Bates of New Castle was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
