DOVER, DE – Paul Reynolds and David Langan both recorded double-doubles to lead the No. 24 Wesley College men's basketball team to an impressive, 69-49 win over Capital Athletic Conference rival Frostburg State on Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines improve to 17-5 on the year and 8-2 in the CAC while the Bobcats fall to 8-14 overall and 2-7 in league play.
Reynolds scored a team-high 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting to go with 11 rebounds while Langan added 18 points with a game-high 15 rebounds. Langan also showed his passing prowess with four assists.
Wesley shot 50.9% from the field and out-rebounded the Bobcats, 50-24. The 17 offensive rebounds gained by the Wolverines led to 21 second-chance points.
The Wolverines were blazing out of the gate, starting the game on a 11-2 run, capped off with a breakaway slam by Reynolds. Wesley never looked back and quickly extended its lead to double-digits and by as many as 19 points.
Frostburg would get as close as 15 points in the second half but Wesley never let up to seal the win.
Christian Jackson scored a game-high 21 points but shot just 8-of-20 from the field. Jabari Kamau added 11 points while a tenacious Wolverine defense held FSU to just 31.6% shooting.
