WESTOVER, Md.- Authorities have ruled as accidental a Tuesday morning fire that caused thousands of dollars in damage to a Somerset County home.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze broke out shortly before 10 a.m. at a 14-foot by 74-foot mobile home located at 9250 Amber Lane in Westover.

It took 20 firefighters from the Princess Anne, Mount Vernon and Marion Station volunteer fire companies approximately 35 minutes to get the fire under control.

There were no reported injuries. The fire caused an estimated $5,000 in damage to the structure and another $2,000 in damage to its contents.

Investigators say the fire started in the rear bedroom and was caused by an electrical malfunction.
