Pa. Man's Hearing in Va. Voter Case Delayed

Posted:

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - A preliminary hearing for a Pennsylvania man accused of throwing away Virginia voter registration forms has been delayed again.

Media outlets report that Colin Small was scheduled to appear in Rockingham County General District Court on Tuesday. Judge Richard Claybrook postponed the hearing until April 2.

It's the second time that Small's case has been postponed.

The 23-year-old resident of Phoenixville, Pa., is accused of throwing eight completed voter registration forms into the trash on Oct. 15, 2012.

Small is charged with disclosure of voter registration information, destruction of voter applications and obstruction of justice.

Authorities say he was working at the time for a company Republicans had hired to conduct voter registration drives.
