CAMDEN, Del.- When the Redner's supermarket opens in Camden, cars will be streaming out of the parking lot and onto Route 13 and Main Street.

"It might mean a little bit more as far as jobs, but I think traffic-wise it's a bad idea," said Milly Roblero of Smyrna.

Roblero is worried the store will bring too many cars to an already crowded area.

"There's so many lights and so much traffic," she said. "It takes forever to get through that little patch of the road already, I just wish they would have picked a different spot."

But some say the supermarket will help ease traffic in other areas of Route 13.

"It might help the Wal-Mart parking lot," said Erin Remus. "It's always crowded so if some people go to Redner's it will lessen the traffic south on 13."

Blanche Carey is looking forward to shopping at the new store but her main focus is making sure school-children in the area are safe.

"They should take a look and see if another red light is needed or what exactly can be done for the safety of the children," she said.

The supermarket is expected to open this spring.
