LAUREL, Del.- A Laurel man has been charged with distributing child pornography online.

The Delaware Attorney General's Office announced charges Friday against 48-year-old Angelo F. Perri. He's facing 11 counts of dealing in child pornography and is being held in the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $660,000 cash bail.

The office says the investigation leading up to Perri's arrest was initiated following a referral from the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which had linked the online distribution of child pornography to the state of Delaware.

The Delaware Child Predator Task Force continued the investigation, which led to task force officers and Delaware State Police troopers executing a search warrant Thursday at a home on the 12000 block of Whitesell Road in Laurel. Investigators said they seized a computer and other digital evidence, and two residents of the home were taken to DSP Troop 5 for further investigation.

Authorities said a forensic preview of the evidence revealed multiple files containing child pornography, including a video depicting an unidentified young girl, between the ages of 6 and 8, engaged in a sex act with an adult male.

Investigators said that based on the evidence, Perri, who was a resident of the home, was taken into custody and arrested on the aforementioned charges.
