Body of Missing Toddler Found in Trash

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP)- Court records say a woman charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter believed she was suffering from a "Muslim curse" and that her daughter was possessed by an evil spirit.

The statement of probable cause made public Friday includes details from an interview 25-year-old Chelsea Michelle Booth gave this week to detectives investigating the murder of 2-year-old Kassidey Booth in Annapolis.

The document says Booth told investigators she murdered Kassidey this week by lying on top of her and smothering her. Then, the document says Booth told authorities she wrapped Kassidey in a blanket and placed her body in a trash bin.

Police found the body in a rail car at a trash transfer station. Booth had been charged with first- and second-degree murder before the child's body was found.
