(Photo: MGN)LEWES, Del. - Delaware is holding the first of three public meetings on preparations for rising sea levels.
The first meeting is scheduled Wednesday afternoon at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes.
Delaware's Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control says the public is invited to provide comments on potential options developed by a state advisory committee. Residents can also learn about potential impacts to homes, infrastructure, natural resources and the economy as well as view maps of vulnerable areas.
The Delaware Sea Level Rise Advisory Committee is composed of representatives from state and local governments, business and civic advocacy organizations
Meetings are also scheduled Feb. 19, in New Castle, and Feb. 25, in Dover.
