ANDREW TAWES BIO - WBOC-TV 16, Delmarvas News Leader, FOX 21 -

Andrew Tawes is a native of Delmarva, having been born and raised in Crisfield, Maryland.

Growing up Andrew loved spending time outdoors, especially on a boat with his dad and grandfather fishing on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay.  His grandfather being the late Scorchy Tawes, WBOC's original Outdoor Reporter.

Andrew began to follow in Scorchy's foot steps as a photographer for WBOC from 2000-2001.  He then moved to Norfolk, Virginia as a news photographer for WVEC-TV where he worked for more than 11 years.  Andrew covered a wide range of stories from news of the day to traveling overseas to document the war in Iraq.

But now Andrew is thrilled to be back home on Delmarva reporting on the great outdoors.  Having always loved anything outdoors--fishing, hunting, you name it!--Andrew looks forward to giving WBOC viewers an entertaining look at all the exciting adventures that take place on Delmarva.

Andrew currently lives in Wicomico County with his wife and three sons.
