Virginia State Police Investigate Attempted Arson

ONANCOCK, Va. – Virginia State Police are investigating an attempted arson in Accomack County.

Troopers say based on evidence they have collected, someone on Wednesday tried to set fire to a church located on the 21000 block of Deep Creek Road in Onancock.

Police were called to the scene at around 2 p.m. and say it appears the attempt was made within the 24 hours.

According to police, damage to the church was minimal and no one was injured.
