EASTON, Md.- Maryland State Police arrested Grammy-nominated rapper 2Chainz, who real name is Tauheed Epps, on drug charges following a late Thursday night traffic stop in Easton.
Troopers said they pulled over a white Ford van at the intersection of Route 50 and Rabbit Hill Road at around 10:18 p.m. There were a total of seven people in the car, but only Epps was arrested, according to police. He was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
Police said Epps was released on a citation and there was no bond.
According to 2Chainz's Twitter account, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's Facebook page, the rapper was the headline performer for the school's homecoming event held Thursday evening at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center.
