ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland natural resources officials say trout stocking has begun in streams and lakes across the state.

The Department of Natural Resources says it plans to release more than 330,000 rainbow and brown trout by the beginning of summer.

DNR officials say the daily fishing limit is two trout with no minimum size and no closed season, except in special trout management and put & take areas. Anglers can consult the 2013 Maryland Fishing Guide for details on specific fishing areas. The stocking schedule is also available online, at DNR Regional Service Centers and through license vendors.

Anglers are also reminded to clean and dry gear between outings to prevent the spread of diseases that can affect trout.
