Salisbury Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

SALISBURY, Md.- At approximately 8:12 p.m. Saturday, Salisbury Police officers responded to Quiznos, located at 842 South Salisbury Blvd., for a reported armed robbery.

According to police, a lone suspect entered the business and demanded money at gunpoint. Police said the suspect stole an amount of US currency and other property prior to fleeing the business on foot. The business was open at the time of this incident; however, there were no customers inside. None of the employees were injured.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a dark in color hooded sweatshirt with a white shirt underneath, dark colored jeans and dark shoes. The suspect was wearing a mask and was armed with a handgun.

Police tell WBOC they are still investigating the situation, and advise police are in the area looking for a suspect. According to police, the suspect is described as a black male wearing a black hoodie and jeans, standing about 5-feet, 5-inches to 5-feet, 8-inches. He may be in possession of a handgun.
