MONTREAL (AP) - Rookie Brendan Gallagher had a goal and assist before leaving the game with an injury and the Montreal Canadiens downed the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Saturday night for their third win in a row.
David Desharnais, Tomas Plekanec and Rene Bourque also scored for the Canadiens, who outshot the tired-looking Flyers 29-19.
Gallagher left four minutes into the third period after being hit into the boards by Luke Schenn and did not return. There was no immediate word on the injury.
Daniel Briere scored for Philadelphia, which has lost three of its last four games.
