MILFORD, Del.- Mark Gaglione lives next door to the house that Home of the Brave wants to turn into a homeless shelter for female veterans and their children. And he is not happy about the possible new neighbors.

"This is for long-time, long-term residential owners and families," he said. "The families that have been here, have been here for a long time."

David Murphy lives across street from the home and he is not a fan either.

"It's just unnerving that a homeless shelter is being placed in an area that should not be," Murphy said.

You might be surprised that Gaglione and Murphy are veterans themselves.

"I'm a veteran and I'm not opposed to them getting help, they need all the help they can get," Murphy said.

That help is why Home of the Brave wants to open the shelter.

"They're not coming in and making their own way through the system, we have a case manager following everyone," said David Markowitz with Home of the Brave.

But for now, Gaglione remains skeptical.

"No matter how you look at it, it's a homeless shelter," he said.
