Gov. Markell at Senate Hearing on Employing Disabled

DOVER, Del. - Delaware Gov. Jack Markell is in Washington, D.C., for a congressional hearing on employment of disabled people.

Markell was to testify Tuesday at a meeting of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

As chairman of the National Governors Association this year, Markell has chosen employing people with disabilities as his signature initiative.

Officials from Washington state, Oklahoma and Utah also were scheduled to testify at Tuesday's Senate committee hearing on state leadership and innovation in disability employment.
