








GREENSBORO, N.C.– Maryland midfielder Brooke Griffin was named Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday for her work in the Terps' victory against No. 4 Duke last weekend.
Griffin, a redshirt sophomore from Annapolis, Md., tallied a game-high five points on three goals and two assists to help the Terps remain perfect in 2013 and drop its second-consecutive top-five ranked opponent.
North Carolina junior attacker Abbey Friend and sophomore midfielder Margaret Corzel were tabbed co-offensive and defensive player of the week, respectively, after defeating No. 1 Northwestern last Friday.
Maryland travels to Virginia Friday for a 7 p.m. battle with the Cavaliers.
