DOVER, Del. (AP/WBOC)- Flags throughout Delaware are flying at half-staff in honor of former Delaware Lt. Gov. Eugene Donald Bookhammer.
Bookhammer, who was a Lewes native, died Saturday at the age of 94. He served as Delaware's 18th Lieutenant Governor, as a Republican, from 1969 to 1977 under Gov. Russell Peterson and Gov. Sherman Tribbitt.
Flags will fly at half-staff from Thursday through Monday when a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
