WESTOVER, Md. (AP/WBOC)- Prison officials say all visits at the Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover are canceled through Sunday.

The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said Thursday that the visits were canceled because of a non-emergency routine security operation.

Poplar Hill Pre-release Unit and the ECI Annex are not affected.

ECI is the state's largest prison, with more than 3,200 male inmates.

Normal visiting schedules for ECI will resume on Monday.
