REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Delaware State Police have released the name of a man rollerblading in Rehoboth Beach who was left injured following a Saturday night hit-and-run crash.
The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Robert C. Flanagan of Dover. He remains in critical condition in Christiana Hospital.
According to police, a preliminary investigation suggests that Flanagan was rollerblading on the shoulder of westbound Rehoboth Avenue just west of Church Street. Police said he was hit by a vehicle, which then continued traveling westward after the collision.
Flangan was transported to Beebe Hospital before being flown to Christiana Hospital, where he is being treated for injuries to his head and torso.
Investigators from the DSP Collision Reconstruction Unit are asking the public's help identifying and locating the fleeing vehicle involved in the crash.
