(Photo: WBOC)WITHAMS, Va.- Virginia State Police are investigating four fires that blazed in Accomack County this weekend. Since November, there have been nearly 60 fires in the county; most of them confirmed arsons.
The most recent fire occurred at around 11 p.m. Sunday in Painter. The unoccupied structure burned through the morning. Arson is suspected in that fire.
Another fire occurred early Sunday morning in Withams. That fire is under investigation as well.
Two other fires happened Saturday: one at an unoccupied trailer on New Branch Road in Accomac and another that occurred at around 3 a.m. at the intersection of Jenkins Bridge Road and Horsey Road in Onancock.
No injuries were reported in any of the fires.
Virginia State Police once again urge the public to come forward with any information that can assist investigators in solving the arson. There is a $25,000 reward offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.
