Wesley's Bundy Headed to NCAA Indoor Track Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Wesley College's Matt Bundy is headed to his second-straight NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships when he travels to Naperville, Ill. on Friday-Saturday, March 8-9.  The National Championships will be hosted by three-time defending National Champion North Central College at the Al B. Track.

A native of Media, Pa., Bundy's preliminary race in the 60m hurdles is slated for 5:35 pm Eastern on Friday, March 9.  Should he advance to the finals, Bundy will race at 2:55 pm Eastern on Saturday afternoon.

Bundy is the tenth seed out of the 13 runners that qualified for the National Championships.  His seed time of 8.19 is a school-record which he set at the Frank Colden Invitational on February 2, 2013. He then defended his Capital Athletic Conference title in the event later that month.

Bundy was just the second Wolverine, and first track performer, to earn All-America honors at the 2012 Outdoor Track & Field Championships after placing fourth in the 110m hurdles.

In his two-plus seasons with the Wolverines, Bundy has earned All-America honors once, an ECAC Championship, four CAC titles and is a five-time All-CAC performer.  Bundy was also the 2012 CAC Outdoor Track & Field Performer of the Year.
