YORK, Pa. – Wesley College's Jordan Lozzi has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is the first weekly honor that Lozzi has earned from the CAC.
In a win at local rival Washington College on February 25, Lozzi made his season debut and pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out six. The native of Forest Hill, Md., also earned the victory for the Wolverines in the 7-2 win over the Shoremen.
Lozzi and the Wesley College baseball team return to action on March 10-13 when they travel to Vero Beach, Fla., for the 2013 Vero Beach Sports Village Spring Training. The Wolverines will play seven games in four days, starting with Richard Stockton and Bridgewater State on March 10, at 1 pm and 7 pm, respectively.
