List of Del. Road Closures Due to Winter Storm

UNDATED- The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced the following road closures in the state as a result of Wednesday's winter storm:

New Castle County:

  • Bayview Road and Silver Run Road is closed due to fooding
  • Old State Road at causeway is closed due to flooding

Kent County:

  • Route 9 north of Hay Point Landing Road, closed due to flooding
  • Route 9 between South Little Creek Road and the fire house, closed due to flooding
    Cypress Branch Road at branch crossing, closed due to flooding
    Ponderosa Road at Plain Dealing Road, closed due to flooding
    Port Mahon Road closed due to flooding 

Sussex County:

  • Primehook Road is closed due to flooding
  • Back Bay Cove Road- gate is closed due to flooding
  • Fowler Beach Road is closed due to flooding
  • Route 1 northbound closed between Bethany Beach and Dewey Beach
  • Fred Hudson Road is closed due to flooding

    MARYLAND- A new law approved by Governor O'Malley is designed to make homes a little safer.  Starting July 1st, battery-operated smoke detectors will be required to be run by ten-year lasting lithium batteries.
