4 People Facing Gun Charges Following Wico. Traffic Stop

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md.- Four people are in custody after a weekend traffic stop led to the discovery of a loaded handgun in Salisbury, according to Maryland State Police.

Police said troopers pulled over a 1999 Chrysler van for an equipment violation at approximately 9:24 p.m. Sunday. Police said certain criminal indicators were present, precipitating a K-9 scan of the vehicle. The search revealed a loaded handgun in the vehicle, according to police.

Two of the occupants, 26-year-old Frank Dorman of Seaford, and Hilbert Allen Smith, 29, of Bridgeville, were charged as felons in possession of a regulated firearm due to prior felony arrests. The other two, Jordan Trey Speight, 27, of Smyrna, and Sean Christopher Hudson, 26, of Delmar, Md. were also charged.

All four were transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
