








Washington College has announced the following athletes have been named the Shoreman and Shorewoman of the Week:
Nick Marinelli- Shoreman of the Week
Junior baseball player Nick Marinelli (Ellicott City, MD/Marriotts Ridge) is this week's Shoreman of the Week. Marinelli hit .571in a 3-2 week for the Shoremen.
Marinelli went 8-for-14 at the plate with four doubles, eight runs scored, six RBI, four walks, and six stolen bases. He had a slugging percentage of .857 and an on-base percentage of .684 in the Shoremen's five games during the week. He was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week.
Kylie Nottingham & Kristin Cooper- Shorewoman of the Week
Softball teammates Kylie Nottingham (Ocean City, MD/Stephen Decatur) and Kristin Cooper (Georgetown, DE/Sussex Central) share this week's Shorewoman of the Week honor. Both players had impressive showings as the Shorewomen opened their stay at the Rebel Spring Games with three wins in four days.
Nottingham, a junior, hit .417 and had a pair of walks over the course of the four games. She hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the second inning of Washington's 8-1 win over Mount St. Joseph yesterday morning to become the 15th player in team history to reach 100 career hits.
Cooper, a sophomore, was outstanding at the plate and in the circle. She hit .357 with three home runs, six RBI, and five runs scored at the plate. In the circle, she threw a pair of complete-game, five-inning shutouts, allowing no runs on nine hits and four walks while striking out nine batters.
