3 Arrested for DUI in Wicomico Crackdown

SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities say a multi-jurisdictional police operation conducted over the weekend in Wicomico County led to three drunk driving arrests.

On Saturday, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Salisbury Police Department, the Fruitland Police Department and the Maryland Natural Resources Police, conducted a joint DUI enforcement initiative on the county's roadways.

Police said that during this dedicated effort to reduce incidents of drunk driving the following individuals were arrested and charged with DUI:

  • James Michael McMurdo, 60, of Chalfont, Pa.
  • Christina Lynn Gilliar, 49, of Salisbury, Md.
  • Brandon Alexander Jaskewich, 26, of Bivalve, Md.

The following motorist was charged with driving while suspended:

  • Jesse Lee Styers, 34, of Georgetown, Del.

Also during the operation, the following criminal arrests were made:

  • Gabriel Morgan Sun, 19, of Salisbury, was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute
  • Deandre A. Wright, 29, of Fruitland, Md., was arrested for second-degree assault. 

The following individuals were charged with underage possession of alcohol:

  • Gabriel Morgan Sun, 19, of Salisbury
  • Jesse James Cropper, 19, of Princess Anne, Md.
  • Juvenile female, 15, of Salisbury
