RENO, Nev. (AP)- The bodies of the seven Marines killed in a mortar blast during a training session have quietly been flown out of Nevada on a C-17 military transport plane.

Nevada Army National Guard Maj. April Conway says the Marines requested their transport not be publicized. She says seven hearses drove in a procession with a police escort Wednesday evening from Renown Regional Medical Center to the Nevada Air Guard base at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.

She says there was a small ceremony on the runway ramp before the caskets were loaded into the C-17 for the flight to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.
