SMYRNA, Del.- There were lots of boxes, construction workers and curious onlookers at the Wagon Wheel in Smyrna on Thursday.

"I was driving by and somebody told me Restaurant Impossible was here and that's one of my favorite shows, I like to watch that show a lot," Mike Pantose said.

"My granddaughter loves this show, so we thought we'd come by and see what it's about," Mike DeSanto said.

The Food Network's show "Restaurant Impossible" tries to turn around restaurants hard on their luck and often shows the less glamorous side of the business.

"I've learned a lot about restaurant safety and food safety watching that show," Pantose said.

Crews at the Wagon Wheel have two days to renovate the restaurant to hopefully increase business.

"My mom went to this restaurant, she said it wasn't too great," Katie Medina said.

But that could all change after the makeover.

"Now I'm eager to check out the new one because I watch the show," Pantose said.

The Food Network said the Wagon Wheel episode of "Restaurant Impossible" will air later this spring.
