Salisbury Prostitution Sting Nets 14 Arrests

SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities say an undercover prostitution sting in Salisbury has led to the arrests of six suspected prostitutes and eight suspected johns.

Salisbury police said that on March 15, members of the department, along with Maryland State Police, conducted an operation targeting prostitution throughout the city. According to police, the investigation focused on both the females involved in prostitution and the prospective male customers.

Police said that during the two-day operation, the following suspected prostitutes were taken into custody and charged with prostitution and assignation:

  • Lisa Marie Jones, 47, of Salisbury
  • Valerie Ann Cheeks, 41, of Salisbury
  • Dorothy Michelle Donaway, 39, of Salisbury
  • Alexandria Joy Rittenhouse, 28, of Salisbury
  • Melanie Beth North, 42, of Salisbury
  • Celestine Coria Cornish, 58, of Salisbury

Authorities said the following suspected johns were also arrested and charged with prostitution and assignation:

  • Alexander Clinton Price, 70, of Quantico, Md.
  • Sean Christopher Beauchamp, 29, of Pocomoke City, Md.  
  • Cortez Maurice Sterling, 24, of Salisbury     
  • Travis Donyel Smullen, 33, of Salisbury  
  • John Herman Williams, 76, of Ocean City, Md.
  • Earlest Marion Satchell Jr., 46, of Salisbury
  • Jacob Gordon Vanus, 34, of Salisbury
  • Keith Samuel Barkley, 49, of Salisbury 

Following their arrests, all of the suspects were turned over to the custody of Wicomico Central Booking.
