New Castle Man Accused of Bomb Threat

Posted: Updated:

NEW CASTLE, De.- Less than two weeks after a courthouse shooting that left three dead, police say a New Castle man is accused of making a terror threat at the same courthouse.

Capitol Police say Martin Brand, 56, made a terroristic threat at the New Castle County Courthouse after being denied entry on Thursday.

Investigators say Brand yelled he was going to "bomb this place" in the front lobby of the courthouse after being denied access due to a cell phone in his possession. The officers took Brand into custody without incident.

Brand is charged with terroristic threatening. He was arraigned and released on $2,000 unsecured bond.
