NELSONIA, Va.- Firefighters were called to another overnight fire in Accomack County.

Accomack County Emergency Services confirms the fire happened at around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday at a building near 16731 Metompkin Road in Nelsonia.

Emergency services says the building appeared to be a shed.

Eight companies responded to the fire.

Virginia State Police confirm this was the work of a serial arsonist, but fire crews continue to investigate the fire.

Prior to Tuesday's fire, the last arson to have occurred in Accomack County was on Sunday morning in Withams.

More than 70 fires have been intentionally set on the Eastern Shore of Virginia since mid-November, according to investigators.

State police are offering up to a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with the Accomack County arsons. Anyone with information about these arsons is asked to call (757) 655-1437.
