Police: Greenbackville Arson Unrelated to Serial Arsonist Probe

GREENBACKVILLE, Va. - Virginia State Police say an arson on Thursday at a home in Greenbackville unrelated to the serial arsonist case.

Police say the fire happened around 6 p.m. at the 37300 block of Dreadnaught Drive in Greenbackville.

This fire was at a one-story, single family home, that is occupied.

Police say the fire started in a mulch bed by the front steps, but the fire was contained to the steps and there was minimal damage.

There was no one at home during the fire, and the case agent feel that it is arson, but not related to the rest of the arson cases occurring in Accomack County.
