MAD Magazine's Bob Clarke Passes Away

SEAFORD, Del.- On Sunday, Seaford lost a talented artist: Bob Clarke.  Clarke is best known for his work at MAD Magazine.  The magazine is widely recognized is one of the most influential in the 20th century.  Although he is gone now, the 87-year-old's work will always be remembered.

Clarke kicked off his career at the age of 15 working on "Believe It or Nuts!"- a parody of "Ripley's Believe it or Not." The comic strip was featured in MAD Magazine.

Clarke was an American Legion Post 6 member.  He would frequently go there to be among friends, and even got married in the banquet hall.

Clarke died of pneumonia on Sunday at the age of 87.
