Police to Conduct Explosives Training in Dover

DOVER, Del.- Delaware State Police are hosting an explosives training demonstration for officers at the Delaware State Fire School on Chestnut Grove Road in Dover.

The department's Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team and the Baltimore office of the FBI will conduct the explosives training on Saturday. The demonstrations will be held from 1-4 p.m. and will involve small amounts of various types of explosives.

Police are warning that nearby residents may hear occasional loud pops and bangs from the explosives training. The department says the training is for first responders from the tri-state area and does not pose any danger to the public or surrounding properties.

The training is not open to the public.
