CENTER VALLEY, PA — The Navy men's golf team has been selected as the favorite to win this year's Patriot League Championship based on a preseason poll voted on by the league's coaches and sports information directors. The 2013 Patriot League Championship, a two-day, 54-hole tournament, is slated to be played on April 27-28 at the Saucon Valley Country Club in the Lehigh Valley with the winner earning the league's automatic bid to compete in the NCAA Tournament.
The last two Patriot League champions, Army and Navy, ran neck-and-neck as Navy finished in first place with 66 points and Army came right behind with 65 points, despite the Black Knights picking up eight first-place votes to six for the Mids.
