GRAND LAKE, Colo.– The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its Top 20 poll and the Salisbury University women's lacrosse team held its spot in the No. 2 position, the organization announced Tuesday. There is a certain familiarity to the poll, with the top five teams remaining the same, and 19 of 20 schools ranked last week remained in this week's standings.
Salisbury (11-0, 3-0 Capital Athletic Conference), following a dominant week where it outscored its three opponents by a combined 50 goal, kept hold of four first-place votes and were awarded 384 points.
Trinity (Conn.) College (9-0) remains in the top spot, with 16 first-place votes and 395 points.
Sitting behind the Sea Gulls is Middlebury College (10-0), garnering 359 points. The State University of New York at Cortland (9-1) remains at No. 4, with 338 points, and Gettysburg College rounds out the top five, with 320 points.
The Capital Athletic Conference is again represented by two member institutions this week. Along with Salisbury, York (Pa.) College sits at No. 11.
The Sea Gulls are back in action Tuesday afternoon, traveling north to taking on Route 13-rival Wesley College.
