OCEAN CITY, Md.- Ocean City police have arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing that occurred during a fight at a convenience store.

Police said that on Thursday morning, officers responded to a reported fight at the 7-Eleven store at 26th Street and 2611 Coastal Highway. When officers arrived on the scene, witnesses stated that the fight was already over and the persons involved in it had left the area.

Approximately half an hour later, officers received a complaint of a stabbing and met with a victim at a home on 146th Street. While meeting with this victim, officers determined that the victim had been involved in the previously reported fight at the 26th Street 7-Eleven. Police said that during the fight, the victim was assaulted with a knife and sustained two stab wounds. The victim was treated by Ocean City paramedics and transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. The victim is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

Police said that during the investigation, 24-year-old Brandon Maurice Hudson of Snow Hill, Md., was identified as the suspect in the stabbing.

Investigators obtained information as to Hudson's whereabouts and at approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, located him in Berlin, Md., where he was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure.

Hudson was seen by an Ocean City District Court Commissioner and ordered held in the Worcester County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
