Suspect Charged in Cambridge Robbery


CAMBRIDGE, Md.- Cambridge police have arrested a suspect accused of assaulting and robbing a victim over the weekend.

Twenty-three-year-old Thomas Michael Custis Jr., of Park Lane in Cambridge, is charged with robbery, reckless endangerment, second-degree assault and theft.

Police said Custis' arrest stemmed from a robbery that reportedly occurred on the 400 block of Race Street. According to police, the investigation revealed that the victim had been assaulted and robbed of cash. Based on the description and information provided by the victim, officers were able to locate the suspect nearby and take him into custody.

Following his arrest on the aforementioned charges, Custis was ordered held in the Dorchester County Detention Center in lieu of $ 500,000 bond.
