BLADES, Del.- Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden announced Wednesday that an undercover investigation conducted by the state Child Predator Task Force has led to the arrest of a father and son from Blades.

Sixty-one-year-old James A. Kocinec and his son, 33-year-old Jason A. Kocinec, both face multiple child pornography charges.

Officials said that on March 20, detectives executed a search warrant at a home on the 300 block of East Sixth Street in Blades.  Detectives said they seized multiple computers, cellphones and digital storage devices. A person of interest in the investigation, Jason Kocinec, was taken to Delaware State Police Troop 5 for further investigation. Authorities said that based on the investigation, and a forensic preview of a portion of the seized evidence that revealed multiple files of child pornography, Jason Kocinec was arrested and charged with 15 counts of dealing in child pornography. He was ordered held on $300,000 secured bail.

At the time of the March 20 search, James Kocinec was also taken to Troop 5 for further investigation and later released. Officials said the investigation continued and a forensic analysis of additional digital storage devices seized during the March 20 search revealed multiple additional images of child pornography.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, on April 12, Task Force detectives returned to the East Sixth Street home, made contact with James Kocinec and took him to Troop 5 for further investigation. He was subsequently arrested and charged with 25 counts of dealing in child pornography. He was released on $1.5 million unsecured bail. Consideration was givenJames Kocinec's health and age in setting bail, authorities noted.
