YORK, Pa.– For the fourth time this season and the third-straight week, Wesley College's Robert Ehrhardt has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
A senior from Mechanicsville, Md., Ehrhardt won the Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial by carding a CAC-record two-day score of two-under-par 140. Ehrhardt carded a four-under, 67 on the second day of the tournament, which ties himself for the second-best round in CAC history.
In his final collegiate season with the Wolverines, Ehrhardt has posted a 74.9 stroke average, which ranks at the top of the CAC and would be a CAC single-season record if the year ended today. The 2012 CAC Golfer of the Year has won two career tournaments, including this past one in Williamsburg, to go with five top-five finishes and seven top-20 performances this season.
Ehrhardt and the Wolverines look to defend their CAC crown when they host the conference championships on April 27-28 at Wild Quail Golf & Country Club.
