NEWARK, Del. (AP)- Newark police have arrested a man in a hit & run that killed a 76-year-old woman.
Twenty-six-year-old Ryan Wroten of Newark was charged Wednesday with leaving the scene of a collision causing death. He was released after posting $1,000 secured bail.
Wroten was charged in the April 2012 accident that killed Helen Yang of Newark. Police say Yang was crossing Library Avenue when she was hit by a car that failed to stop.
After the accident, police say investigators collected vehicle parts left at the scene. Officers say they received information that Wroten might have been involved and seized his car.
Police say a forensic analysis conducted by the FBI crime lab linked Wroten's car to the accident.
