SALISBURY, Md.– It will be a festive atmosphere at Sea Gull Stadium this Sunday as the Salisbury University women's lacrosse team will celebrate Senior Day and also will be raising money for "Lax For a Cure" when the No. 2 Sea Gulls take on No. 14 Christopher Newport University.
The Sea Gulls will be raising money for the fight against breast cancer, with money raised going to Women Supporting Women. Those in attendance can participate in the goal-a-thon, pledging a monetary amount for each goal the Sea Gulls score in the contest.
There will also be a silent auction, pink balloons for sale and any person donating will receive a pink ribbon.
Women Supporting Women will have a table setup inside the stadium, with information available about cancer and the fight against the disease.
Before the contest, the team will recognize the six seniors who will be playing their last regular-season home game. Katie Bollhorst, Lauren Feusahrens, Kat Gartner, Alyssa Hardesty, Kara Koolage and Maggie Roundy will be honored before Salisbury takes on the Captains. The contest is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
