State Police Search for Wanted Dover Woman

MAGNOLIA, Del.- Delaware State Police are asking the public for help locating a wanted Dover woman.
 
Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a home on Bertha Drive. They found 32-year-old Shirley M. Smith, of Dover, hiding in a closet.

Smith gave troopers a false name, but they quickly determined her true identity, and discovered that she was wanted on several capiases, according to police.
 
Smith told troopers she needed immediate medical attention for a preexisting medical condition. She was taken to Kent General Hospital, where police said she fled without receiving treatment.
 
Police have a warrant for Smith's arrest on two counts of offensive touching of another with saliva, criminal impersonation, resisting arrest, third-degree escape, and offensive touching.
