Shoremen Baseball Shaves Heads In Support Of Vs. Cancer Foundation
CHESTERTOWN, MD -- On Monday,
members and coaches of the Washinton College baseball team shaved their
heads to support the Vs. Cancer Foundation. Through donations, the
Shoremen raised over $1,000 for the foundation in less than a week.

organization dedicated to saving kids' lives by empowering athletes and
communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts."
teams from across the country participate in fun events, such as
head-shaving days, and raise funds in advance. One-hundred percent of
the funds raised help fight cancer; fifty percent go toward local
pediatric oncology programs, while the other fifty percent go toward
international cancer research efforts.
