1 Dead After Car Crash in Salisbury

Posted:

SALISBURY, Md.- The 71-year-old Bishopville woman, who was ejected from her SUV Wednesday, has died at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Salisbury police said a Mercury sedan collided with the 71-year-old woman's Ford SUV around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at East Main Street and Davis Street.

The driver of the Ford SUV, Evelyn Adams, was treated at the trauma center where she was pronounced dead Thursday, according to police.

Authorities said the driver of the other car, 79-year-old Joyce Webster, of Salisbury, was also injured.

No charges have been file and the investigation is ongoing.

The Salisbury Police Department said alcohol did not play a factor in the accident.
