COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland softball team will welcome
North Carolina this weekend for a clash of two of the top teams in the
ACC standings. The three-game series will be Maryland's final games at
home this season.
The Terps (27-23, 9-6 ACC) and the Tar Heels (37-16, 12-6) will play a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday and a single game Sunday. Admission and parking for all games are free.
The Terrapins will honor seniors Sara Acosta, Lexi Carroll, Nikki Maier and Melissa Mancuso prior to Sunday's game, which is also a white out game.
All fans are encouraged to wear white and the first 150 fans at Sunday's game will receive a free rally towel.

The Terrapins are currently third in the ACC and the Tar Heels are second in the league standings. The Terps have gone 20-9 since March 10 and have won seven of their last nine games.
Freshman Lindsey Schmeiser has 53 RBI so far this season, which is second in the ACC and third in the Maryland record books.
The record for most RBI in a season is 56.
She leads the league with her slugging percentage of .730. Sara
has scored 110 runs in her career, which is seventh on Maryland's
all-time list. The record is 129, set by Jennifer Potzman in her
four-year career (1998-01).
After this weekend's games, the Terrapins will travel to Virginia Tech next weekend for a three-game series to close the regular season.
