Del. Panel Weighs Bonds For Charter School Project

DOVER, Del. (AP) - A state panel is being asked to approve up to $7 million in bond financing for a Sussex County charter school.

The Council on Development Finance was to consider the request regarding the Sussex Academy of the Arts and Sciences at its meeting Monday in Dover.

Proceeds of the revenue bonds would be applied to make a loan to school for a variety of purposes. They include financing the acquisition of about 42 acres of land and a 122,000 square-foot building on it and improvements to accommodate a new middle school and high school serving grades 6 through 12.

    Tractor-trailer, Multiple Vehicles Involved in Camden Crash

    Delaware State Police say a crash involving a tractor-trailer and multiple vehicles led to the closure of South DuPont Highway in Camden in both directions. 

    The accident occurred around 9:44 a.m. on northbound South DuPont Highway (US13) near Thomas Harmon Drive, which is the Camden Walmart entrance. It is unknown what the extent of any injuries are at this time.
